Pet Diagnostic Imaging
What Is Pet Diagnostic Imaging?
Diagnostic imaging allows us to see inside your pet’s body without surgery. We use safe, non-invasive tools to evaluate bones, joints, internal organs, and more.
- Digital X-ray
- Ultrasound Imaging
- Dental Radiographs
These tools help identify broken bones, tumors, organ abnormalities, pregnancies, foreign objects, and other internal issues.
Digital Radiography (X-rays)
We offer in-house digital radiography at both Nob Hill Animal Clinic in Plantation and South Florida Pet Emergency in Hialeah. This non-invasive tool allows us to evaluate bones, joints, the chest cavity, abdomen, and more. Digital X-rays provide high-resolution images instantly, helping us diagnose:
- Fractures and orthopedic injuries
- Heart and lung conditions
- Foreign object ingestion
- Abdominal abnormalities
- Tumors or organ enlargement
Your pet’s comfort is always a priority—we handle imaging with gentle restraint and minimal stress. In some cases, sedation may be recommended for clearer results and safety.
Ultrasound Services
Ultrasound is ideal for viewing soft tissue structures such as the liver, spleen, kidneys, and bladder, as well as monitoring pregnancies. This service is available at both our locations, performed by an on-call mobile ultrasound specialist.

We may also recommend ultrasound in conjunction with blood tests or radiographs for a more comprehensive diagnostic picture.
