Frequently Asked Questions

Below you’ll find answers to the questions we hear most often. If you don’t see what you’re looking for, contact us or visit one of our two South Florida locations in Plantation or Hialeah.

What services do you offer at GQ Animal Clinic?

Yes! Both our locations specialize in emergency and urgent care. At our Nob Hill clinic and our Hialeah facility, we’re equipped to handle walk-in emergencies during business hours and can stabilize a wide range of critical conditions. Visit our Emergency Care page to learn more.

Are walk-ins accepted?

Although walk-ins are more than welcome, we will prioritize visits for appointments unless in emergencies.

What should I do to prepare my baby for surgery?

Do not allow your pet to consume food or water past 10:00 pm the day before the surgery.

Drop off your pet around 9:00 am on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays; on Tuesdays and Thursdays, we can accept much earlier drop-offs, so please ask our staff to confirm a time that works for you. We will contact you with any relevant updates and a time when you may pick them up.

We accept all major credit cards, CareCredit, and most pet insurance providers. If you have questions about coverage or payment plans, please visit our Payment Options page.
Do you accept pet insurance?

Yes, we work with a variety of pet insurance companies. We’ll provide detailed invoices that you can submit for reimbursement. Be sure to check with your provider about what’s covered.

How often should my pet have a wellness exam?

We recommend at least once a year for healthy adult pets. Puppies, kittens, and senior pets may benefit from more frequent visits (every 6 months) to catch changes early.

Do you offer preventative care plans?

We tailor every wellness visit to your pet’s individual needs and offer guidance on the right vaccines, parasite prevention, dental care, and nutrition for their lifestyle.
